Subject: Row Jimmy
After typing in my date of birth into Google trying to find my Kua Number, this concert came up as a link in the list of other things. How great. Tho I only saw the Dead three times before the death of J.Garcia; I enjoy there live shows.

The solo and singing from Jerry on Row Jimmy here is fantastic!

Thanks

Subject: spanish jam
This is one spooky spanish jam for sure. I love the spanish jams. Consider myself lucky to catch many of them. Not back this far but the 80'2 84 san fran civic and 83 park west along with the great paortland civic center show in fall of 82 are a few of my all time fav's only because i was at those.
Back to this one scary shit here. the organ is creepy and fun. Merry day after and happy new year folks.

Subject: Decent aud, otherworldly Playin
This sounds surprisingly good for a 74 audience. The only issue is the recording levels - they are too high, leading to distortion. I've only listened to Scarlet through Playin' so far, but the Playin' contains whole universes of sound that bear repeated exploration. If it were a soundboard, it would get 5 stars on the strength of the Playin' alone.

This is a great aud recording, its just like being there, the show is powerful and the crowds loving every minute of it, just like me.

this is some good dead for breakfast.

Also a clean SBD version is here

Subject: Completes my life!
The Taper's Section on the Dead's website used to allow you to download the mp3's they posted, so I've got crisp vault versions of a soundcheck jam, Scarlet & Playin' from this date. Now this rich sounding audience recording completes my show!

Subject: This is where its at
After listening to the Grateful Dead for years upon years, its easy to get disillusioned with them and the music.

and then you pull out this pitch-corrected crisp audience recording of one hot night in July 74 and remember that this band was bad ass.

Thanks for this. It's waaay hotter than that old hissy slow soundboard cassette I had years and years ago.

Subject: Sounds great!
No one had commented about what this great recording needed: thanx for the pitch fix. Now we can download.
